Chipotle to host Denver B-cycle fundraiser | Environment

On Sept. 11, seven Chipotle locations in and near downtown Denver will host a fundraiser benefitting Denver Bike Sharing, the Colorado nonprofit that owns and operations Denver B-cycle.

Denver B-cycle launched in Denver on April 22 as the country’s first citywide bike-sharing system.

The program began with 400 B-cycles at 42 B-stations around the city, offering a green alternative to cars for short commutes and errands.

By Dec. 1, the program is expected to have 500 bikes and 50 stations around Denver.

During the day-long fundraiser Chipotle will donate 50 percent of proceeds from purchases made with the flyer pictured, a printed out fundraiser e-mail, and/or when a customer tells Chipotle’s staff they are there to help support B-cycle.
