Executive Book Club - Niccolò Machiavelli "The Prince"
    Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM /...Location TBA

This month we're discussing The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli, one of the first works in modern political philosophy.
The Prince is a short, easy read. Best of all, it's available as an e-book for FREE: http://bit.ly/ch9Itm (select one of the formats - I use the free Amazon Kindle download for my PC)

Power & politics. Perhaps it's fitting that we're discussing The Prince during the run up to the 2012 election. This highly charged and competitive environment magnifies the power-playing games that often lie below the surface of every business interaction.
Machiavelli himself was a powerful politician who fell from grace, like so many people in high places do. However, his political career provided him with many insights, and in his most popular work that coined the phrase "Machiavellian", he described heretofore taboo strategies for remaining on top.
We're going to be discussing the business implications of Machiavelli's seminal work. For instance, what is the Machiavellian approach continually extending your influence?
I will be sending you information about the location, which will most likely be in the Cherry Creek area, in due course.
