Local Author reads to students and families to celebrate Black History Month

Local author and historian Wallace Yvonne Tollette will be joining Gilpin Montessori Public School on Thursday, Feb. 23 to read aloud to students and families. The elementary school is hosting a read-in to celebrate Black History Month – to recognize the contributions of African American authors to American literature and focus on the enjoyment of reading for fun.

The rules cover the quality standards school districts must adopt in their educator evaluation systems, teacher content knowledge standards, the structure of performance evaluations, definitions of performance evaluations and consequences, and the role of the Colorado Department of Education.

 The House of Representatives passed House Bill 1072 today, which will grant students at state colleges and universities credit for work and military experience.  

Parents of the Ricardo Flores Magón Academy demand that administrators are reinstated

Parents and students of the Ricardo Flores Magón Academy will be protesting and marching outside of the school from 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM.
