CU Denver and Denver Metro Chamber help student veterans launch careers | Schools
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The University of Colorado Denver continues to strengthen its commitment to military veterans with the launch of CU Denver Boots to Suits, a comprehensive program designed to help veterans successfully transition from service members to students and, from there, to business professionals and leaders in our community.
Created in conjunction with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Boots to Suits supports veterans with traditional internships and job placement, complemented by a new mentorship program that pairs student veterans with business leaders who provide valuable insight, advice and contacts within the business community. In addition, the program will assist student veterans with obtaining a business suit so they can put their best foot forward in the job search process.
More than 700 student veterans are enrolled at CU Denver and that number is expected to triple in the next three years. The university has been recognized on the G.I. Jobs "Military Friendly Schools® List," putting it among the top 15 percent of 7,000 institutions nationwide for high-value education and a welcoming environment for veterans.
